Seychelles, officially the “Republic of Seychelles”, is an archipelago and country in the Indian Ocean. The 115-island country, whose capital is Victoria, lies 1,500 kilometers east of mainland East Africa. The government has an extensive presence in economic activity, with public enterprises active in petroleum product distribution, banking, imports of basic products and a vast range of other businesses.
